Pilgrim accreditation

It's important for some pilgrims to have some sort of written proof ('accreditation') of their journey.

The Testimonium - a parchment in limited edition, created and offered by the AIVF, is available from the sacristy of St Peter's Basilica, to pilgrims who have walked at least from Acquapendente (150km); or cycled from Lucca (400km).

The Pilgrim's Passport is a document carried by some pilgrims to provide an official record of their pilgrimage; it is one of the requirements to obtain the Testimonium on arrival in Rome. (Also known as 'a credential' or 'credenziali'.)
